Students have homework each night, Monday through Thursday. Over the weekend students must read for 30 minutes each night!

Reading Homework
Reading Log: After your child reads for 30 minutes, they will answer a thought-provoking question in their reading/homework notebook. These questions are meant to help your child increase their comprehension during reading, as well as practice explaining their thoughts to others. These prompts will be given on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The prompts are due the day the next prompt is given.
Math Homework
Math homework is meant to be independent practice for the lesson completed during class. Students should complete the Homelink worksheet. For extra practice, feel free to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts with your child. It is important they know their facts to 20.
Spelling Homework
Each Monday students begin a new unit of spelling. Students work with their words both at school and during their homework at home. Each week the word lists change but the routines stay the same. Students will be tested on their words each Friday.
Tuesday: Sort your words and write your sort
Thursday: Study your words with a practice test at home
